The Washington Wizards currently have one of the league’s thinnest frontcourts, which has forced some players into big roles this season. Andray Blatche has been starting at center for the Washington Wizards since December 15, 2008, and has been putting up solid numbers since being named the starting center.

Over the last four games, he has had two 20+ point games. While his ten points per game and 5.4 rebounds per game aren’t the greatest numbers out there, Blatche will still be able to help out your fantasy team. His stats as a starter are slightly better at eleven and six, but the former second round pick also averages a block per game and almost a steal per game (0.8 steals per game). He also shoots a decent free throw percentage for a big man at 75 percent and a respectable 48 percent from the field. With so many injuries to the Wizards this year, (Brendan Haywood, Etan Thomas, and Gilbert Arenas), Andray has been able to get his share of minutes this season. However, his inconsistency and inability to stay out of foul trouble has caused many of his owners to drop him.

Mr. Blatche is only owned in 39% of Yahoo! Leagues so if you have an extra roster slot to fill, give this young man a chance to help you out.
