Sleeper Watch

By David Huang

The Young Prince of Cameroon has certainly raised eyebrows after his 19 point 17 rebound game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute seems like a steal for the Bucks taking him with the 7th pick in the 2nd round in last year’s draft. He’ll also be a steal for your fantasy team. Since taking the starting role from Charlie Villanueva (left hamstring injury), he’s been averaging 15.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 0.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks while shooting an excellent 85-86% clip from the charity stripe.

Even as a 6th man, Mbah a Moute has posted solid averages of 9.0 points, 6.0 boards, 0.6 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game while shooting 56% from the field. It looks as if Luc will remain as the starting power forward for the Bucks even when Villanueva returns from injury. Though Mbah a Moute won’t be a good source of assists he should be able to post points, a great fg%, solid boards, and a few blocks and steals here and there. Look to him as a solid backup or third power forward/small forward as he’s still floating on the waiver wire. Even after Luc’s 19 and 17 game, he’s still available in 74% of Yahoo! leagues. What are you still doing reading this!? Get on out there and pick this guy up.
