so these guys at work invite me to join their league, whatever.

1 week after draft (we drafted 2 weeks b4 season started), some guy trades a 4th & 9th rounder for a 2nd - 3rd rounder, (Lowry-Dalmbert for Jennings-Horford).... eyebrows raised, wonder what kinda bs, but let it slide V_M, cause vetos should only be for idiots!

So im negotiating and I make this deal:

His KOBE - Dunleavy - Reddick - MKG for my Iggy - KG - Kiri - Kawhi
aka 3rd-5th rounder for 2nd rounder Kobe!

Mofos vetoed it!!!! Needless to say, I am PO'ed!!!!!!

Is it a money league?

I was in a money league with co-workers, but it worked out quite well. Unfortunately we recently disbanded, but it was fun while it lasted (for many of them, they had played in it for about 15 years).

yup, but its like chump change, $20 each.

i did a hockey one with coworkers before, that worked out beautifully. The commish & all the players were totally fair and polite. Just feels in this one, the friends keep making offers with each other, and i cant trade crap.

I get offers like my Anthony Davis for Chris Kaman.... :-t

Yeah it's tough to join leagues that are just looking for fillers. One of my co-workers (R) joined with another co-worker (L) of mine (I declined - $60 buy-in with people I don't know...pass.) At first it looked like they were going to cancel the league because they didn't have enough people, eventually they went ahead and set a draft date. My co-worker (R) had no idea that it was going to continue. L mentioned that they were just going to disband and call it a day. The weekend of the draft came up and apparently they had not cancelled the league. Everyone was present except R who had no clue it was still going on. He autodrafted a bunch of scrubs and injured players. Tough luck. Eventually they decided to split the buy-in, luckily for him, and now hes just rebuilding from scraps.

Sorry to hear of the BS that's going on in your league. Honestly as bitchy as it sounds, if I saw that first trade happening I would've vetoed it and caused a shit storm of bitching.

P.S. I feel like they're just f*ing with you at this point. "Offer the guy that not everyone knows shit players and veto his trades."
Either way, bunch of douches.
