A while ago, menyak had one of those typical daydreams that only webmasters have: couldn't we stage something similar on a virtual level? What if all visitors to this site set up a link to the Cafe on their homepages? It needn't even be at the same time... You bet the resulting earthquake would be staggering!
Admittedly, it's probably just a stupid dream, but hey, that's how the Cafe started! You've already been reading this post (how can we tell? ), and you do have a website, don't you? (No point in denying it, we know you do.) So the last step is up to you: it's only a small step, and always remember, it'll be a big step for the Cafe!
Your members could be a lot more accepting of newer posters ignorance, then you would retain more membership. I call the amount of people who are rudely turned off by rash comments from established posters a problem.

I have seen hardly any people on the boards with the 'L' (signifying begginner), these people are treated with the utmost respect and are never sledged for even the worst trades. Anyone else IMO is fair game and if people make a bad trade or draft then I tell them about it because,
A. they asked for my opinion
B. lieing to them helps no one
C. hopefully it will stop them from making the same mistake in the future
I think this board is very friendly and open to most members who are willing to be a helpfull member of the community. Maybe PM arlo/Meshawn some of the things you have seen so they can have chat with the board member about being more welcoming.

Yes, please do send me a PM if you see an example of this. Thanks!

Hardly anyone uses the "L" and many people have too big an ego to put it there.
Well, most of the folks here do seem to be fantasy vets...
I've seen a couple folks use the tag, and I'm sure you'll see it more often as the Cafe grows. As for people who don't want to use it, that's fine, too. We certainly don't want to force it on anyone. It's just an option to make things easier for rookies.
I store all my rosters and such for the leagues I run through yahoo groups. i have always put a few links up (league homepage, nba.com, funston's "expert" analysis, etc.). I have put the cafe's link up there and have nothing but positive feedback.
we'll spread the word, u keep doing what ure doin.
