Without going into a lot of detail - yes, Barnes is a better play than Marvin Williams right now. Barnes is a better play than a lot of players. In fact, according to BBM, over the past 10 days, Barnes was the best play of any player in the entire NBA. Seriously. 8-o

Just to bring this home, over the past six games, Barnes has produced the following average line:

23.3 points, 4.3 3ptm, 8.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.7 steals, 0.7 blocks, 2.0 turnovers, 45.1% FG%, 88.0% FT%

Marvin Williams has produced the following line over his past six:

11.3 points, 0.3 3ptm, 3.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.5 blocks, 3.2 turnovers, 37.3% FG%, and 81.5% FT%

Now, I know this kind of analysis, over a short period of time, is not necessarily conclusive, but Barnes beat out Marvin Williams in every single category. Only blocks and FT% were even close. Wow.
