Hooray for making Dwight Howard the #1 pick instead of going with "small". ;-D

Boo for taking Dwight Howard to Canada. :-t

Hahaha. Just draft Reggie Miller and Rick Barry and you'll be alright.

I'll second that. He is definitely my consensus #1 pick.

you can't really argue with dwight howard. I think there are two players that could go 1/2. We'll see if the other player I am thinking of is scooped up at #2.

This just shows how valuable a talented big man is in the NBA

Brian Colangelo and his team are in the process of re-hiring Dave Hopla to help newly acquired Dwight Howard with his free throw shooting. We eventually expect Dwight to shoot 80% from the line.

Really that's the biggest downfall I could see, though of course there are other reasons I came up with not to pick Dwight. Overall though, the allure of a talented big man was just too much. Definitely not an easy pick to make imo.

Dave Hopla came to my basketball camp a few years ago and gave a lesson on shooting while taking shots the entire time. He had a kid tallying his makes and misses for the entire lesson. He ended up hitting 886 of 892 shots and they were from all over the court. Unreal.
