7.12 Jarrett Jack PG

I'm surprised Jack has lasted this long, he's a young and talented point guard who has shown he can be a successful NBA player. With Blake and Jack now on my team, I am using the Portland Trail Blazer backcourt duo witch has been successful this year and will be successful on my own team ;-D

7.13 Morris Almond SG/SF

Here I come with another interesting pick :-D The D-League all time scoring record holder, a very good shooter which my team digs for. Have yet to shown what he can do in the NBA but he surely has the ability

7.14 Craig Smith, PF.

The young "Rhino" has shown some flashes of brilliance in his career, but just needs to get more consistent...

7.15 Chris Duhon

I really wanted Jack or Stevenson but Duhon seems decent here. He always fills in well for Hinrich when he is hurt so he can run a team if needed. He is a solid backup. At 25 he is the oldest player on my team yet young enough to grow with my team. He makes good decisions and does everything decently while not doing anything remarkable. I think this is my first pick without upside but he is a solid backup PG- an important position. Darn I wanted Jack :-[

7.17 Mickael Pietrus - SG/SF

Air France gets the nod despite a low bball IQ. He does provide (1) defense (2) athleticism and (3) corner 3-ball. My team can use a perimeter defender. Air France will be given the opportunity to compete for the starting shooting guard postition for the new Hawks.
Yes, Warriors sold at last!

With pick 7.18, the New York Knicks selects...

Kwame Brown

Maybe somehow he will have a revelation in the next 3 years and become at least a suitable backup center. Even if he doesn't, there really isn't any decent bigman left so...

7.19 Orlando Selects: Bostjan Nachbar

We need a three point specialist, and Nachbar is just that.

7.20 utah jazz select Jeff Foster (6'11, 250, 31 years old)

not a glamour pick in the least bit. looking to further shore up the interior defense and add another strong rebounder behind przybilla, who is never too far away from a few games off due to injury. obviously, he has hops, too

Re: ROUND 7

It's the 7th round in this draft and for many, its the second guy off the bench. By now it should be noted that the players selected in this 7-9 rotation are not going to be guaranteed 30 minutes a game so it is important to select a guy that can produce in a more limited role. My team wants to win now, so I need a consistent player that is focused on helping the team, rather than an inconsistent player crying for more minutes. So I will stay with my recent Laker trend :-P and with the 21st pick in the 7th round the Houston Rockets select:

Sasha Vujacic

Image

Averages 15 minutes and 8 points a game. Has had scored in double digits 9 out of the last 12 games including 2 20 point efforts only averaging 20 minutes during that span. "The Machine" is shooting 48% from the field, 43% from beyond the arc, and 84% from the line. He has been in a few playoff series and is an extremely focused player, especially on the defensive end. Needed another shooter and he is a good chemistry guy to have on the bench.
