With the 5th pick in the 8th Round, the Los Angeles Clippers select...

8.05 Marko Jaric PG/SG (6'7" 224 lbs. 29 years old)

The Clippers welcome the return of Marko Jaric, whom we originally drafted as a rookie. Jaric gives us an experienced back-up point guard to play behind Baron Davis. He's seasoned in running an offense and can be a playmaker. His height and versatility help him thrive against other teams' 2nd squads. He can also fill in as a starter for the times when Baron's out with injury.

And equally importantly, Jaric adds to the Clippers LA star power by bringing...

8.05b Adriana Lima (5'10" 26 years old)

The Clippers welcome the addition of Lima, who brings....well...

With the 9th pick in the 7th round, the Seattle Supersonics select:

7.09 JR Smith, SG

Image

smith will back up hamilton and eventually take over as the team's starting shooting guard whenever rip gets too old to keep playing. jr also adds another 3 point shooter (~39% not good, not bad) to stretch the floor and will be relied on for an offensive boost off the bench that won't kill the team on defense. i'm also relatively high on him because he's so young (still just 22!) and has shown he can play at the nba level when given minutes (last year before ai came to town). plus he's got a pretty sweet haymaker.

8.08

With the 8th pick in the 8th round, the Milwaukee Bucks select G/F Shannon Brown. Solid role player when he gets minutes. Its unfortunate he's been stuck behind Lebron his whole career, and is now in an even worse logjam in Chicago.
