With the twelfth and final roster pick, the Nets are proud to add:
Image
12.28 Raef LaFrentz - PF/C
Height: 6 foot 11
Weight: 245 lbs.
Age: 31
Colllege: Kansas
Image

How many 7 footers can drain the 3? Sabonis, Dirk and add one more: Raef....
Image
Raef has excellent perimiter and three point shooting skills for a big man. Moreover he is an excellent shot blocker and historically one of the league's best thanks to huge wingspan and timing. He has decent low post moves and rebounding ability. Raef will be a perfect back up Nets big to spell Bogut, Sene or insert opportunistically at the power forward spot. For his NBA career, LaFrentz has averaged 10.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.7 blocks with 36.5% 3PT percentage.
Image
Plus he is a consummate professional and a great character guy who never complains about his 12th man role as a back up center. He can offer invaluable insight you the Nets roster of young bigs and contribute effectively when needed.

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Nets!!! ;-D ;-D

With the final pick of the 12th round, the Toronto Raptors select...
Image

12.30 Desmond Mason, SG/SF

30-year old Desmond Mason is a decent scoring option off the bench and is an above average finisher at the rim. Can be a bit of a streaky scorer but has decent size for a SG and can post up opposing 2-guards. Not looking to strike gold with the last pick of the draft, just another body off the bench in case injuries hit.

12.18 Lebron James

what a great talent to pick in the last round. I never thought he'd fall.

seriously

12.18 - Chucky Atkins

a veteran point guard who can shoot the 3ball and the critical shots, can help my team in that area, since my point guards can't shoot the 3ball all that well

12.29 Gerald Green (SG/SF)
22 years old, 6'8"

If nothing else, he can go compete in some dunk contests. I love me some cupcakes.
