The overall top 4 stayed exactly the same with no point fluctuations whatsoever. SC moved back two overall points after a 2-7 loss to flyingbeavers in the H2H league, while ugk moved up two overall points after a 5-4 win over nebgib in the H2H league.

I think I've moved up to 10 now ;-)

H2H Matchup of the Week: Rounders Block (1) vs. thelimey (4)

First off, thanks for the weekly updates RB. I haven't posted much lately, but do check them pretty regularly, and enjoy your commentary and matchup of the weeks. This league has always been of the more competitive type, very savvy gm's.

To reflect on my teams a little bit...

After slipping down the upper half of the rankings in H2H, that 8-1 last week definitely helped, seeing as how were almost through 2/3 of the reg season and it came against the #1 team at the time. The percentages amongst the top 5-6 teams (H2H) are actually really close, with RB only 2.5 games ahead of 2nd place. Still early to tell what will happen... ROTO league, not quite as close, with Caveman/Samo with some strong leads. I was second-to-last in ROTO earlier in the season, but I've managed to pick it up in most categories and rise to middle of the pack, def allowing me to rise in the overall standings. Now if I can only keep it up, and stay injury free in both teams *knocks on wood*...

I still can't believe I let go of Paul Milsap in the H2H league so early in the season. Really regretting that. I also dropped Diaw and Charlie V in both leagues. Regretting that too. Thankfully I've been able to pick up some decent FA's which have helped keep me somewhat of a contender (Marc Gasol, Kevin Love, Anthony Parker, Azubuike, etc)...... Any body else regretting some of their moves? Or having some success in part due to FA pickups?

I'm the jerk who picked up your Millsap in H2H. ;-)

Got fed up with Josh Howard and dumped him 6 weeks ago, when he and Redd were both dogging it, along with various other injured players. Can't say I'd prefer to have him back instead of a decent FA pickup i.e. Bargnani. Having stashed Monta 3 weeks ago, I'd hoped my H2H team would morph into an unstoppable juggernaut of health, but then Redd goes down for the season, and its back to the FA trough yet again. Hoping to hold on for a Top 2 finish in Roto and really felt my H2H team could get a hot-streak going with players getting healthy, but the loss of Redd and various nagging injuries make that questionable. Last year's overall title was in doubt until the final night, and came down to (among other things) my roto team getting a couple blocks in the very last game of the last night that knocked jaytizy down a point and gave the overall title to geodbear. I see no reason this season should be any less of a brutal Octagon MMA battle.

btw, am I the only one who noticed the Roto-evil article extolling his dominance in his various leagues and had to laugh: "...yeah, but I don't see a Top 6 in the Octagon Champ league sucka..." lol

Man, I got KILLED this past week. Had some untimely injuries/missed games, some subpar performances by players, and a pretty strong week for SC was the nail in the coffin. I don't think I was close at any point during the week. Ouch..

Anyway, hopefully I can recover with Marvin Williams playing again, and hopefully getting Crawford and Horford back sometime this week. Also hoping that I can hold onto the #3 spot in the roto league, since it seems more and more that no one's going to be able to catch up to the top 2. With an almost guaranteed top 2 finish in the roto league, and being in the top 3 in the H2H league, I'm thinking that samo is a strong contender to win the whole thing.

2. samo 74-49-3 .599 2
3. SC 74-50-2 .595 2.5

4.5. thelimey 71-55-0 .563 6.5
6. bokzg 70-55-1 .560 7
7.5. The Thrill 60-65-1 .480 17
7.5. CavemanDoctor 60-65-1 .480 17
9. geodbear 55-69-2 .444 21.5
10. ugk34 47-78-1 .377 30
11. nebgib5 45-78-3 .369 31
12. deathdogz 44-81-1 .353 33

Champions Roto League:
1. CavemanDoctor 86
2. samo 83
3. bokzg 74.5
4. Rounders Block 67.5
5. SC 65.5
6. ugk34 65
7. thelimey 52
8. geodbear 49.5
9. flyingbeavers16 46
10. The Thrill 44
11. nebgib5 35
12. deathdogz 34

samo = 4
Rounders Block = 5
SC = 8
CavemanDoctor = 8.5
bokzg = 9
thelimey = 11.5
flyingbeavers = 13.5
ugk = 16
geodbear = 17
The Thrill = 17.5
nebgib = 22
deathdogz = 24

The bar just keeps getting higher in this league as samo has taken sole command of first place with a ridiculous overall point total of 4. You figure that 5 overall points would get you first place with geodbear winning it all last year with 7.5 overall points, but that doesn't look to be the case this year. SC, bokzg, and CavemanDoctor continue to battle it out for 3rd place. Everything else pretty much remained the same in terms of standings.
