Re: Champions League Draft Commentary

Was hoping to get Rose with this pick, or Baron at the least, but Jennings isn't a bad consolation. His performance in the playoffs last season impressed me and all reports are saying that he's been working hard all summer on all parts of his game.

Scares me that I only have one true big at this point as I have always preferred to have two by this point in the draft, but I'm trying a different approach to drafting this season and having wings like Wade, GWall and Gay who produce well in FG%, REB and BLK for their positions helps.

Man I really struggled with choosing a player here. There were still a half dozen choices that I would have been quite happy with so it was a good kind of struggle. I didn't feel that way with my 4th round Rose pick or 5th round Aldridge pick so much.

Holiday might have been early but he also has a solid chance of earning that position especially if he keeps his FG% where it was after the all star game.

Just saw this. I am pretty high on Jrue this year and he was really the only PG left out there that I trusted so it made a lot of sense for me to take him and round out my assists/steals. Have him ranked 64th overall and took him at 66 so it was just about right IMO.

I was looking at Rose, Baron, or Mo Williams with my pick and Baron ended up being the one left. I'm in the same position as you, I've never not had 2 bigs by this time of the draft.
