i would like to trade to get on the clock. Your pick (10.whatever)+your 12(.whatever) for my picks on the 11/12 turn. If that's not a good enough trade then PM me with what would be. You'd have to take me on good faith that I'd pick you who ask me to pick with those picks and vice versa, then just complete the trade after the draft.
Is this allowed?
Yeah if you can find a deal then go for it. One of the rule changes that samo and I have agreed to permanently implement starting next season is to allow for the trading of draft picks. The reason why we didn't allow it in the first place was more to prevent trading of entire pick sets.
EDIT: DV is right, but you can just forgo the formalities and make the deal with the picks involved.
First off, I just want everyone to know that I'm OK with this personally.
I'm just not to keen on it coming to light in the middle to end of the 10th round of an ongoing draft. Kal and I are also on the turns, and even though I can't speak for him, I can say there were a few times where I might have liked to draft in the middle of all that real estate, instead of waiting 20 some odd picks for my next shot.
Fortunately for me, I'm feeling good about my current squad, and if there are any problems which come up, I can address them through trades or add/drops - after
the draft is over.
As the rules were set, I don't mind if someone makes a pick, then instantly gets an offer for a trade - it happens off and on in regular "live" drafts all the time. And I'm not saying I would
have made such a deal either. But for strategic purposes, it would have been nice to know that I could have tried to make a deal to get me into the middle of one or two of those rounds. Even though now, the picks are just as important, I've really got no use for such a tactic at this point in time.
Just my two...
