Spoken like a true manager currently losing his matchup to Redhopeful, 5-3. :-B

Yeah, I think there are few more of us who will have something to say about it when all is said and done - especially those of us who will be seeing you again this year. B-)

And by the way, don't forget...BaLeeDat and myself got you three times this year - 5-4 is looking mighty shaky right about now, huh... ;-)

yeah, you guys were really impressive to lose by just 5-4 :-b . and don't you worry about red, he'll get his butt handed to him :-D

I'm tickled by the smack! The fantasy gods will now wave their wands and shift my curse of the "top draft picks never healthy at the same time" onto your team! ;-)

Wade ranked 4th in the last 14 days, Samo pulling away from me and Jay, with the improbable 12 in turnovers. :-{

Wade finally getting his act together a bit does help. The TO thing is kinda cool, considering I've also played the most games, though not by a big margin. I drafted with the oft-ignored TO value in mind (Horford, Millsap, Terry, Allen, Battier) so its good to see some results there. I fear however, that my %% values will continue to be too weirdly skewed up (FG%) and down (FT%) for this team to be truly formidable. Good thing this is just a qualifying heat (Top 3) and no extra credit is given for actually winning. I'm cautiously optimistic I can ride this out to a Top 3 finish, though I see some teams out there that could rise up and make things interesting.

On a different note, I'm wondering how an apparently likely NBA lockout impacts next-season's Octagon. We should have an "early-offseason" discussion to get ahead of the situation and decide how we'd collectively prefer to deal with it. i.e. play it out if a season starts before Jan. 1; play it out if a regular season starts anytime; etc. We didn't exactly build a "collective-bargaining" contingency into our voluminous league rules!

In the event that the season is shortened by any considerable amount of games I think we should play, but not carry through the results for moving up and down the tiers. I don't think it's really fair to demote guys based on a lock-out shortened season if it's short enough (or promote them, but that's not my main concern). In the event of a shortened, but not too short, season, I'd be comfortable dropping the promote/drop to best two/worst two or even just best/worst (or something like that).

I see my team cooling off to about 72 pts by end of year (barring any major injuries)...hopefully thats good enough for 3rd place.
