Same strategy as last season from geodbear, which gave him the roto league (wire-to-wire) and the coveted overall championship (thanks to some incredible final night action which denied jaytizy). Only difference is no Lebron and he gets Dwight at pick 38 instead of 65ish. If he pulls out another roto win with the punt FT% roto strategy, might have to call standard-setting roto leagues broken beyond repair.

So lets get after it, non-FT% punting managers. ;-D

No Lebron really, really hurts. And with the exception of Davis, I'm not using the same cast of characters. But I figured with my draft position, why not? I wasn't sure if I could wait on Howard until the 5th/6th round. In any case, I don't need to finish in first here. Top 3 or 4 in both leagues should put me in contention for the overall championship.

As for this tank ft% strategy, the One is also back at it in BBall Brawl IV with both Lebron and Howard. But so far, I think there are few teams that'll be able to challenge him unlike last year when he ran away with it.

Also, in regards to tanking, I've noticed that teams that are properly constructed can tank a category and still compete in a competitve roto league. My original Octagon Roto team from a couple of years ago basically tanked TO's and was pretty low in FG% and finished in 2nd. Recall discussions on whether you can win with Gilbert Arenas.
Yes, Warriors sold at last!

You are correct in your concern. If nothing else this season, I was not going to lose to a Punt-FT% roto team which got Dwight in Round 6 because all the "savvy" roto managers knew better than to touch him. If you can win by taking Dwight in Round 4, more power to you. Fool me once, shame on you ... fool me twice, shame on me. I was actually looking forward to competing for points in FT% with Dwight on my roster, but I'm also perfectly happy with him on your roster at a reasonable opportunity cost.

This tank ft% is pretty amazing. Didn't really think it would work until last season in the First Division Octagon Roto League. The second and third place finishers ranked second to last and last (respectivley) in ft%. These two teams were only very strong (top 1,2, or 3) in about five categories and about average in the others.

So much for balance.

heh, well I did end up winning with a balanced team (one for the good guys ;-D ). But still, tanking ft% does seem like a reasonable strategy, especially in this format.

On another note, I don't really like how my team is shaping up thus far.......

I'm not a fan of skipping picks but its been 24 hours I believe and Thrill was logged onto the Cafe 7-8 hours after he was on the clock for this Round 4 pick but didn't pick for whatever reason.

Unless someone has some compelling reason to wait, I think we move on here. :-/
