Most impressive h2h injury list wins!

Postby jackie hayes » Fri Mar 19, 2010 4:16 am

I'll start.

10 man roster, 3 man bench:

Stephen Curry
Joe Johnson
Marc Gasol
Deron Williams
Chris Paul
Andray Blatche

I'm not exaggerating when I say this team was a juggernaut. I've never dominated any league like I dominated this one. And I'm now down bad to the last-seed playoff team, trying to figure out who to drop to get back in contention.

So what you got?

Wow. That's terrible. :-/ I don't suck nearly as much as you do. :-D I do have a team with CP3, and I have Blatche, Granger and some other guys spread around various teams, but nothing like that concentrated suckage. Nicely done. The great thing is that they should all be back next week after you've been put out by that rec league team you're matched up against now.

I just saw this topic, and wow, I can't compete with that.

Going for 2nd place, I had a team in late February- early March that had these injuries (10 team H2H, 10 starters, 3 bench):

Joakim Noah - back when he was my #1 big
Corey Maggette - back when he was playing like a top 20 player
Dwayne Wade - missed 4 games
Paul Pierce - missed 5 games
Antawn Jamison - missed 2 games due to the trade
Trevor Ariza - had to drop him
Steve Nash/Chris Andersen - only missed 1 game each but sat when I most needed them

Went on a freefall, 4 weeks straight at 2-6 each (no TOs), from solid 1st to 5th, with top 4 making the playoffs. But several WW pickups and injury recoveries later, I'm playing for the championship :-)

That's pretty impressive, still.

I managed to make it out of that matchup and I'm in the championship, with many of those guys back. How thankful I am for d-league Warriors... :-°

beginning roster

PG-Nash-1 game
SG-J-Rich-3 games, 2 of which he was suspended
SF-Gerald Wallace-missed 5 games, 3 of which came round one of the playoffs but I had a bye luckily
PF-Jason Thompson-seven games but I dropped him after he injured his shoulder
C-Pau Gasol-17 games, really missed him at the beginning of the season
C-Luis Scola
G-Devin Harris-traded this guy preseason for Roy, would've lost 18 games of Harris
F-John Salmons-wasn't injured but incredibly frustrating to own him and I dropped him a day before NBA trade deadline, wow how stupid was that
UTL-Manu Ginobili-6 games, one which was championship week against the nets and the spurs lost
UTL-Wilson Chandler-owned him all season but dropped him after his groin injury

Bench-Courtney lee-dumped him in November while he was missing 7 games in November
bench-Roy Hibbert
bench-Brenden Haywood-3 games missed but I dropped him early in the system when his minutes were real low

Also owned Noah mid-season after a trade but when he went down with plantar fascitis I had to drop him.....
final roster

PG-Nash
SG-Jason Richardson
SF-Gerald Wallace
PF-Drew Gooden
C-Pau Gasol
C-Luis Scola
G-Brandon Roy-15 games missed
F-Terrence Williams
UTL-Toney Douglas
UTL-Manu Ginobili

bench-Crawford
bench-holliday
bench-tolliver

I certainly cannot compete with you though Jackie lol
