LBJ? Nah - he's just the Most Valuable Puppet. You wouldn't be able to stop Maverick Carter from picking someone for you. ;-)

I'd go for Bobby Knight.

The NBA could use another chair-wielding type, in my opinion.

I'd hire Phil Jackson to coach the Kobe led Rockets for obvious reasons. Then, I'd hire Rick Adelman to coach the Pacers. He's one of the winningest coaches in NBA history, and has experience winning big in a small market(Sacramento). He also has shown he can adapt to whatever players are on his roster.

Unless that team was the Golden State Warriors. (Something I'm sure even Adelman doesn't want to think about.)
Yes, Warriors sold at last!

Sadly for Warriors fans, many recent coaches can say that about their time with the team.

Good idea for next time, but not this time around. Should have been decided before the draft if it was going to be done.

Well...

Glad everyone has taken the time to weigh in on this one.

I guess what we can do is just have everyone pick their coaches without a draft, and if two people have the same coach, so be it.

I just like the idea of having coaches to our teams, since coaches and their styles have a lot to do with team performance.

For my head coach, I'd take Scott Skiles. He'll train/beat/yell/force Al Jeff into playing some respectable defense, utilize Iggy's skillset, and figure out how to defend the 1 and 2 with Mo and Marcus :-o

And the best part... he'll teach Thabeet how to play some serious D?!?! :-L :-L

Cherry on top? Tom Thibodeau as assissant coach! B-)

Can we just go ahead and kill this idea...it's pretty ridiculous if you ask me. "Yes or No?"...I thought I was opening a thread to an "over/under" type of game...picking coaches seems like a bad idea to me.
