I like the idea of limiting the amount of nominations, lest it get too crazy all at once. I do think 2 is even a good number to have going at once, the problem is that so few people even have players on bird rights that it is essentially 1 per person. I think it would be good to change it to 2 people that can be nominated per team at once, as long as you can't nominate a second player with bird rights on the same team.

I'm jut a little frustrated here. I have slots to fill and money to spend and nothing to do but wait. Well, and bid on every quality free agent that comes up, but that's just something to pass the time. :-D It would be nice to be able to move things along a little faster somehow anyway. Obviously not at the cost of allowing a crazy number of auctions at once, but something. I bet this will be less of an issue in more actuve FA seasons, but that's not this year at all.

This isn't a bad idea either just to move the process along.

I also like the idea I've mentioned before of conceding an auction you're participating in so you can move on the next one. If an auction for a player you nominated gets to the point where you don't want to bid again (for budget reasons), you could simply concede it publicly ("I no longer want to participate in this auction - I concede"). That way you could move on to nominating another player, instead of waiting for the auction to end - which could be 24hrs, or days.

Regardless, we do need to address it, if not for now, then at least for next off season.

Question for next year - what happends with top free agents?

Can you bid $20M in year 1 and raise the salary from there or is the max bid $20M x 4 years?

OK so I want to open up a debate on this whole "playing time" thing before next season starts. If you are Kevin Durant and you are looking to sign with another team, it shouldnt matter who else plays your position - you are guaranteed playing time. I dont like this for the points based system in the event of a tiebreak situation. Basically a guy with no other players has an advantage over a team that has complimentr players already? Seems odd. Will I be forced to wait a promising young SG/SF in order to sign Durant (an example only).

Anyone else agree? Thoughts?

That's the way I understand it as well - but just to clarify, it couldn't be something like 21 + 20 + 20 + 19, where the average is 20, right?

Essentially, the points system is what will determine everything when it comes to max money guys.
