Something that may need to be figured out here, I don't think the min contract you signed of Tayshaun counts against the MLE since those are allowed to be signed outside of the MLE, and thus it isn't required. So you may still have 0.48 left.

I think DVauthrin is working this properly. You can't sign a minimum bid player unless you don't have any cap space left, or if you are a team with cap space who is matching the team without. The money has to count against the cap.

Prince's contract has nothing to do with my remaining MLE amount. This offseason I spent 5.77M of my MLE on Maggette, Artest, Dragic, and Chase Budinger.

That leaves me with .23M left in my MLE, which isn't enough to sign anyone to even a minimum contract. Therefore, all I have left to offer is the one year minimum contract(250K), which I used on Tayshaun Prince. I then renounced my remaining .23M in my MLE as I can't use it anyway.

That's my bad, I didn't have Chase on your list of players. Do now, as well as a group of about 4 other guys not on rosters.

So guys, is snake still in this league? I was just looking at the MLE stuff, and he is the only one to not spend any of it this off season. He was here for the draft, but don't know if he has been around since then.

He had no need to spend his MLE. He already has 16 guys under contract after drafting and his team is stacked. Why spend more money when you don't need to?

Because you could make your team better and there is really next to no downside.

He could have added maybe one or two guys but he also has to plan to keep money free for Curry next year. I don't think his lack of activity necessarily means anything about whether or not he's still going to manage his team.

I agree with this assessment.
