You have to have a minimum of 11 players. It's in the rules document on the documents thread.

Now I've got another question (this one's not a teeth puller, I promise! :-D ):

Can we make bids where consecutive years of the contract are the same, THEN have a 10% ±? For example, DV just bid on Gortat for 10 + 9 + 8 + 7. Can I go in with a bid for 10 + 10 + 9 + 8? OR, does it have to increase or decrease each year?

I read:

- The annual salary increase/decrease is a fixed amount; BYS x r

To say that 10,10,9,8 is not allowed.

For some real discussion...

I feel like I should wait until the bid is complete, but I can't help but think whoever wins Gortat is going to regret it next season for sure. His value like most Suns, is completely tied to Nash being in Phoenix, which he won't be for too much longer. Not to mention if he ever gets hurt this season it won't be worth it.

We'll see. I like his skill set independant of Nash, and I have since he was in Orlando. I think he'd be good just about anywhere. Solid dub-dub centers don't grow on trees anymore either, so there's that.

I don't think he needs Nash to maintain value either. The boards, blocks and %'s will still be there. Scroing may dip a bit but it wont be earth shattering. He was pretty handy the few times he got a start in Orlando, and it won't be that hard for the suns to get a Jameer caliber PG.
