porno's bid is invalid as the "average" must increase by $250K.

ardilla's bid is still leading bid.

INVALID OFFER:MAX CAP INCREASE EXCEEDED
2nd year is fine 6.65+0.66=7.31
3rd year is not valid 7.31+0.66=7.97, so 7.98 exceeds 10% increase

Can I/we get clarification on the 250K mins? Thrill made the comment that averages had to increase by 250K, which I remember being said earlier, but that doesn't really make sense since the average is just used for bidding and nothing else.

And since people can adjust per 10%, any number that doesn't round well ends up with a non multiple of 250K, even though we said minimum bids would be 250K.

Seems like the rule should be all contract years must be in 250K increments with 10% increases and decreases and the average salary can be whatever.

Meaning I wouldn't be able to increase 6 million to 6.6 million because it isn't a multiple of 250K. I shouldn't be able to go over 10% so my max increase should only be 6.5 million.

So, if we had (6 + 6.5 +7 + 7.5) we would get an average of 6.75.

In the event we ended up with an average salary not a multiple of 250K it wouldn't matter since that money would never actually be used.

I agree with silentjim here. Some of these contracts being proposed are a mess. Each year's salary should be an increment of 250K, not these 8.745632M (7.3423+) etc.

I'm fine with any contract that's rounded off to two decimal places. I can't stand having to reverse engineer the numbers to get a round 250K increase. I'm far more interested in getting round yearly numbers and the right number first year. It hasn't made a difference yet, but it will once we start bidding on more of the lower end guys.

So long as the salary increase is at least 250K more on average than the previous bid I'm ok with it. If we decide to do something different than that I'm ok there too, but we need to pick something asap.
