Kal's example:
cap increases are counted based on year one salary
10M 9M 10M 11M - ok
10M 11M 12M 13M - ok
10M 11M 12.1M - not ok

These examples are why I'm confused. The second example doesn't fit the rules, yet is labeled as ok.

10% of 10 million is 1 million, which means the highest the subsequent years can be is 11 million, yet 12 million, and 13 million are there.

Does this make sense?

you can increase/decrease contract by up to 10% of 1st year salary, every year
so you can go 10 10+1=11 11+1=12 12+1=13 or 10 10+1=11 11+1=12 12-1=11. 4th year salary can be up to 130% 1st year salary (by adding 10% every year)

That's the trick yeah. If everyone's bidding there's no way I get two. For the sake of the league I hope that's how it works out.

I hope you end up with two. :-D

That won't leave you much money at all to get more players.

If I end up with Durant and Amare for 30M total I think I'll live with filling the rest of the roster out with my remaining 35M. ;-D Not that that's likely to happen of course.

EDIT: sry clicked on edit in stead of quote. im still new to my mod powers :-D

Gotcha. It's always 10% of the first year, but it's then added or subtracted from the prior year.

I don't have the guts to bid anything more than 10 mil until I know what happens with my Wade bid.

Why did Ardilla put a "bad offer" post after KalElen's bid of 20M for 4 yrs for LeBron and my similar bid fof Paul?

I didn't do that, I'm not a mod. Kal (Im guessing) did it because porno4mumu had illegal bids, he bid more than the max (20 mill) in the 2nd and 3rd years of his offers.
