an exception to the rule was also explicitly stated in the league rules, so this shouldn't be an issue. otherwise my last successful bid would have been invalidated because it took me to the soft cap limit. if we couldn't go over the cap with min offers then the issue of not counting min offers towards the cap until after the draft wouldn't exist

Needless to say I am confused.

But on the bright side, I got Duhon for 520k. I think that's one hell of a steal if he puts up last year's #s

That is awesome. If someone outbid me on Jonny Flynn I was going to throw 750 at Duhon. The only concern is the Knicks trading for a PG some time this year, otherwise he is great.

I've got a bit of a dilemma now though. See, I thought we carried 16 players (I dont know why I thought that), and that I could fill out my roster with a couple more bigs. As it stands, I only have 3 players that are able to play PF and C. I'm gonna win either Haywood or Darko, but I still have too many guards and not enough bigs. And with the way trades will be in this league it wont be an easy problem to address. All the position quandries aside though, and I think I did a great job on snapping up some bargains.

Is there any way I Could retract my bid on Darko?

I only have one roster slot left, and I would rather spend the last of my $ on Haywood.

That's a tough one. You bid on 2 guys with only 1 roster spot left. I would assume your earlier bid would be the only valid one, as I don't think you should be able to bid when you have 1 spot left and the high bid on someone, but I wouldn't be opposed to being flexible.
