an exception to the rule was also explicitly stated in the league rules, so this shouldn't be an issue. otherwise my last successful bid would have been invalidated because it took me to the soft cap limit. if we couldn't go over the cap with min offers then the issue of not counting min offers towards the cap until after the draft wouldn't exist
Yeah, I'm supportive of this. I think it make sense that the $250K on Delonte did not hit towards his cap.
That said, I'll make a comment in hindsight (a lot good that does, right?
), but now having gone through the draft, I would have liked to split (or would that be mix?
) the bidding on the stars and scrubs. Meaning, our first 12 players to bid on were not all stars. I don't remember who made that recommendation, but now having gone through the draft, I'm kinda wishing we had gone that route. But oh well. All is good. This is still fun.
