Please do Jim. Until now this has been a fun new league and this bickering over a small pt. has gotten tiresome.

KalElen put in a lot of work and set up a new league with new rules from scratch. We owe him thanks for that. But this being a new league with new rules unforeseen relatively small situations are sure to come up. Its not like these rules have been used for thousands of Yahoo leagues and so are time tested. So lets find a way to quickly make some small adjustments and move on and realize that given the newness of this- small disputes were bound to come up and are likely to again.

For what it's worth, I'll concede the argument of not bidding once you reach the soft cap. I would have preferred it was a rule at the onset of the draft, but I think it is the most logical solution (big picture).

So, for those of you making that argument, 1 down. ;-)

Wow. So much hate. So much anger. :D

I couldn't care less exactly how this gets worked out provided it's fair for everyone. Jimbo - you can have Krstic with my blessing, now go and sin no more.

I just don't think it's appropriate to all of a sudden decide that some people can't bid anymore. I'm just going to assume no one believes that same logic applies to the FA period after the auction is finished (in what, 20 players?). We're not going to have to this auction again until next year, so we have lots of time to hash out the details. I say just leave the min bids, say no 'matching' and call it a day.

This was never supposed to be a big deal, we just need to decide what to do.

Seems to be the concensus then, that if you don't bid first then you can't match a bid and expect to get the player.

we talked about this at the auctions onset. Many owners, including myself, planned on spending our entire wad early. I obviously reconsidered. Others didn't.

I don't agree with people not being allowed to bid. Especially when we agreed it was fine early.

The tiebreaker is the real issue. Focus.
