next season

Postby KalElen » Sun Mar 20, 2011 10:20 am

i'm sorry to say this guys, but i'm probably going to quit fbb after this season. i've recently got my first job, so my free time went from limited to barely any. i might try to keep a league or two (i've got one with weekly moves and one roto which take up significantly less of my time), but eve that doesn't seem likely right now. this one is the most time consuming and i can say with certainty that i won't be back next year. i hope i'm giving you enough time to elect a new commish and keep the league going. i will stay around as long as it takes to help new commish take over, but you should probably do a roll call and those who wouldn't mind taking on commish duties should come forward

wow, this is a little bit shocking to say the least.

As far as the roll call goes, I'm certainly planning on being around for next season as well.

Definitely shocking. I'll have to think about things to be honest. We've had a decent amount of inactivity and I'm thinking this could be the straw that breaks the camels back.

Double Sigh and a Gulp- Aaron Brooks is waived. I hate this game sometimes.

There hasn't been that much inactivity has there? I don't even know of someone that wasn't really around this year.

I feel the same way. Doesn't seem to me like anyone really went AWOL. I know a couple of guys who may have gone low-key because of marriages or work - but I don't think anyone really totally dropped out.

Regardless, it'll be a tough loss with Kal leaving. As many headaches as I'm sure I gave him this season, I still have a lot of respect for him. And you can't fault his reasoning - I'm sure this league is a handful...and then trying to stay competitive in other leagues like the Cafe Octagon doesn't make things any easier.

But as scully said, I'm here for the long haul as well! As bad as my team was this season, I've still got hope for the future. Hopefully, we can keep this league going...so I can see the fruits of my labor! :-b :-D ;-D
