hi chi wrote:The only way I can see this working is if everyone's "role" is defined so everyone knows what they are keeping track of and doing and they commit to doing it. If we can do that then a joint commish idea could work, if not it could get real messy. I still think we need one person to head things up and then they could possible delegate some parts of the job to other league members, but one person still is the person in charge...the other people are just helping with the heavy lifting.

I am happy to talk to the dude I know to join the league. I am sure he would be thrilled to join.

Excellent point. I think it's a great idea to delegate some responsibilities, but there should be someone keeping track of all the responsibilities to be taken care of. Off the top of my head there are tracking off-season FA pools, managing the forum, managing the yahoo league and rosters, 'approving' trades, and probably a bunch of stuff I can't think of.

Something I would recommend we continue doing is utilizing google docs as a master list of contracts.

There is no chance that RobSays (who just added 3 guys in like 5 days) and Fenris are leaving, so looks like we have everyone but Kal.

I was thinking this as well. Might have missed the check-in, but I don't think the league. Both of those two are in a baseball league with some of us as well that's finishing up drafting, so I doubt they go MIA anytime soon.

I really think they key might be for us to utilize google spreadsheets more (teams, free agents, signings and so forth). I also think we might want to limit player adds to every Monday or something. Some sort of blind waiver bidding salary system were you can bid throughout, but highest bid is decided on Monday or whatever. Just tossing it out there for simplicities sake.

I'm all for trying to help out wherever I can, especially with my mod privileges and such making it much easier for myself to fix things, but I can't see myself leading this thing. I'd like to have active involvement and would consider being on a committee or whatever we decide, but don't have the time to be sole commissioner.
