if the bidding on gasol was closed, how come my bid on dirk didnt qualify? pls check the time difference between my bid (30 Aug 2009 06:47) and the next one (31 Aug 2009 18:40), which was clearly after aug 31 3pm and more than 24 hrs difference. the last 2 gasol bids were 30 Aug 2009 00:03 and 30 Aug 2009 05:37.

again im a little confused. sorry for the trouble...

The bid I made on Dirk, after your bid, was twenty minutes before the 48 hours expired. Your bid had to stay highest for 24 hours AND still be highest after the 48 hours.

Your issue seems to have something to do with understanding when the 48 hours began and ended. My bid was at 2:40PM as I see it, and the deadline was 3PM.

ardilla is correct. porno4mumu look at it this way. for 1st 12 players nothing was gonna happen for the 1st 48h regardless of what offers were submitted and for how long they were high bids. no player could be won until 48h passed. that's why you didn't get dirk even though your offer was highest for more then 24h. after 48h has passed we are proceeding with 24h rule, and 48h rule doesn't exist anymore in any shape or form
thinking behind the 48h rule was to allow everybody to get into the action, so that no one misses out on a player because of not logging in in the first 24h of the draft. everybody is expected to log in at least once in the 1st 48h and thus get a chance to bid on any player because no player can be won until 48h has passed

lol. thanx for the help. actually i was thinking of merging all the "finished" threads into one and posting all bids in one post of a new thread. nothin gets deleted, all posts are kept in one thread and winning bids are all held in one post via c/p and edited by me, or red or any of the admins we have around.
here's what i did, i went to moderator control panel, i marked 4 threads (those of taken players) and selected merge option on the drop down menu, but it didn't work. then i tired to merge threads from within, by entering one of them and then trying to add other 3 to it, but in the end i got that mess: all 4 threads in one and 3 separate player threads that should have disappeared after the merging

you should see your time on the board (providing you set time zone) so you count 24h or 48h by your time
