The other part of it too is that teams must have the minimum 11 roster size. So I assume you can't make a trade that puts you under that?

During the regular season that would be correct. During the off season not so much.

There is a live chat forum in googledocs that we can use to discuss trades etc. Pointing this out as a lot of guys in my league don't realise it's there until we point it out. It's on the upper right hand side, you have to hit the link to open it up.
