Well, my hope is that people will simply be more selective with their adds/drops because it'll draw on a finite budget and also carry implications into the next season. Overbidding runs the risk of both wasting your limited FAAB funds and also leaving you with a player who could have been a good value but isn't anymore because of how much you bid on them. I think it's self-regulating in that way.
As for the playoff suggestion, we can address that after we figure out the draft. I don't want to confuse things any further by talking about too many things at once.
