I was getting worried too but then I realized that I don't have him on a single team, so no worries. :-D

The Sixers have targeted Wednesday as the day for Bynum to hit the floor and finally join the team for a series of practices that they hope will lead to his being available for the season opener next Wednesday against ex-Sixer Andre Iguoudala and his Denver Nuggets at the Wells Fargo Center.

Bynum was scheduled for one more injection in his right knee on Monday. After that, the Sixers wanted to give him 48 hours' rest and then give it a go on Wednesday.

As soon as I posted the aforementioned article, Twitter claiming Bynum still has some knee discomfort and hasn't even started running in practice yet. ;-7

Lavoy Allen could be a sneaky insurance pick. Let's face it, even if he does start on opening night the odds of Bynum playing even 60 games are not the greatest.

If the current prognosis holds unchanged, Bynum would be cleared to resume normal basketball activity by approximately December 10. In addition, the team estimates that Bynum in turn will need an additional 1-4 weeks thereafter for conditioning, training and practice before being able to resume game play with significant minutes.

The Sixers fear that Andrew Bynum has done additional damage to his knees by bowling recently, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.
The news keeps getting worse for the Sixers, whose theoretical franchise center has yet to play a game in their uniform. Bynum admitted to reporters that he recently suffered a "setback" and had "weakened cartilage" in both of his knees, so presumably the Sixers have linked that setback to his bowling. It's weird, it's disappointing, and the story is still developing, so check back soon for an update.

This is why every Lakers fan was laughing when we finally offloaded Bynum for Howard.
