What's up with Josh Smith

Postby starbuzzhead » Sat Nov 10, 2012 7:26 pm

Is Josh Smith going to come alive anytime soon? He was my first pick and he's done NOTHING this year! What's happening. I'm not too good at this fantasy stuff because I have a tendency to panic.

Practice what they preach in lamaze classes: breathe!!!

Seriously, he's merely off to a slow start and a gimpy ankle hasn't helped. Just have to ride this out as you can't sell low on your first pick in the draft.

No need for concern with Smith. As long as he is healthy he will post elite numbers in every category except FT% and TO.

I think he's hit 2 free throws all season. Really? Even I can do better than that (really, I can). I hope this improves. I know, I know. I'm not very patient but this is worse than Shaq. It's worse than Rondo. Come on Smith! You were my first pick! (sorry for my rant)

My entire team today (3 players) IS .167% for FREE THROWS.

You gotta be patient. Yes, he is off to a god awful start from the free throw line... But he is a career 66 percent shooter from the line. You knew you werent gonna get great numbers from Smith for FT%, albeit not this bad... but I would expect him to hit around 66 percent from here on out. Smith is a very solid fantasy player, dont give up on him yet.

god-awful is an understatement. 2 of 14 . . . 14.3% for the season. Yes, I know I'm being impatient but I have to rant sometimes!

Yeah, he is 2-14 so far, but he has had GAMES where he has gone 12-14 from the free throw line. Law of averages say his percentages will even out over the course of the season.

Is something wrong with Yahoo's ranking? He's ranked 573 in my league (overall rank) out of a total of 594. His average rank is 323! Kevin Love's overall rank is 356 and he hasn't played a single game. Uh . . . what?

It's yahoo's way of saying he has hurt you more than he's helped you thus far. It's is due to the bad percentages and turnover ratio. He will be a top 50 player at least with top 10 upside.
