Trading Harden? WHIR

Postby yellowishodie » Thu Dec 06, 2012 5:54 am

Hey everyone. my league is 9 cat, H2H, 12 team. Which side would you rather have. Harden/Faried/Asik/Gee or Lawson/Gortat/Monroe? I think its a great buy low time for Gortat and Monroe as Lawson has picked it up. What do you guys think?

My team:
Mo Williams
Stephen Curry
Kyrie Irving
MWP
Anthony Davis
Omer Asik
Kenneth Faried
Robin Lopez
Alonzo Gee
Byron Mullens
James Harden
Wesley Matthews
Antwan Jamison

i like lawson & monroe, gortat is having very disappointing stats for weeks now.. if you're trying to sell high on harden, i think you should look for other options for gortat. lawson & monroe are potential 2-3 rounders and if gortat will continue the way he is doing right now, I dont think its a good trade for you since you lost faried & asik..

Do you think Gortat is going to continue performing like this since O'Neal is playing really well? I think Monroe for sure will bounce back. But I am looking for another big man that can shoot decent FT% and is the only other one on his team.

I don't have faith in Gortat but reading a lot of other blurbs about him. He is a good buy low candidate. Here is the other GMs team.

Lou Williams
Greivis Vasquez
Monta Ellis
Danilo Gallinari
Josh Smith
Jason Maxiell
Derrick Favors
Greg Monroe
Ty Lawson
Ben Gordon
Mario Chalmers
Luis Scola
Marcin Gortat

I would normally go for Vasquez or Monta instead of Gortat but I am trying to build my team around a decent FG% and good FT%. I am decent in TO and building around 3's and possibly ast now. I don't think I am very good at AST but if I do pick up Lawson, I could go for Vasquez instead and I would be a lot better off. What do you think? should I do maybe Monroe, Lawson, Vasquez? for Harden, Faried, Asik. I am only throwing Gee in there because he hasn't been producing lately and is pretty inconsistent. Am I giving up too much? Appreciate the feedback!

IMO, he will not bite it if you'll include vasquez.
remember you're trying to get his lawson, (apparently he has 3 natural PGs)
just want to ask, who is your main guy from his roster? and what stat are you trying to pump up?

i guess you are trying to sell high harden right? & your other significant piece is faried, for him to bite this proposal. but you are trying to include asik to somehow include his gortat by also including gee to this trade. (sounds a bit confusing huh)

if you land lawson, you'll have 4 natural PGs, but your frontliners decreases (less gortat from proposal) which i assume he will not include him.. based on your roster, fg% is your main loophole..

My main goal is to get serviceable centers with better FT%. Im selling high on harden yes. I am trying to maintain steals and 3's without falling out too much on rebounds. He would accept harden, asik, faried for lawson, monroe, gortat. I think if lawson goes back to replicating last year numbers and hoping O'neal injures himself which is a high possibility, it could make Gortat a great servicable center again

really? that's good if he's willing to give those 3..
very good & wise trade.. i was actually trying to suggest mullens instead of faried.
faried is a consistend stat generator w/ good defense..
mullens is more of an offensive type.. and if harden & mullens will be your trade pieces,
well that'll change your fg% stats definitely
