veto help plz

Postby jaec012 » Wed Dec 26, 2012 9:43 pm

Yahoo 9-cat 12 team H2H top 6 makes playoffs. Currently Player A is in 6th and Player B is in 7th.

At first the trade was:

Player A gives up: Bosh, Curry, and Gay
Player B gives up: Dwade, Garnett, and Metta
which was vetoed damn near immediately.

Now this trade pops up and although it seems more fair i still think player B is coming out wayyy ahead:

Player A gives up: Bosh, Curry, and Gay
Player B gives up: Tony Parker, Garnett, DWade

because of the first trade i might be smelling a lil bit of collusion and automatically thinking this is unfair, but I think that Curry by himself is worth about garnett + wade/parker.

So what do you guys think? veto or let it go?

No veto. Player B is getting the better hand, but unless you can prove collusion, this trade is not vetoable at all.
One can even argue the injury risk to say player A is getting a good return.

Veto should be very rare and 3 all stars for 3 all stars should not be in veto territory.

It's lopsided, but not vetoable IMO. Veto needs to be saved for actually horrific deals value-wise, and cases of obvious collusion. Rather than what people use the veto for in a lot of leagues, which is to block any trade that appears to give someone any kind of advantage (especially teams they might have to play in the playoffs).
