I'm in a 9-cat keeper league (roto - keep 5). I've been thinking about improving my depth to make a run this year. While also opening up a keeper spot to hold Kemba or Mayo over into next season. A manager in my league offerered me Ryan Anderson and Wesley Matthews for Josh Smith. I think it gives me solid depth, and gives me some wiggle room with my 5th keeper.
What do you think? Kind hurt to lose Smoove and all that shotblocking though. Would also need to figure out who to drop?
pg Kyrie Irving
sg OJ Mayo
G Jrue Holiday
sf Josh Smith
pf Kevin Love
F Anderson Varejao
C Serge Ibaka
C Nicola Pekovic
ut Kemba Walker
ut Andrei kirilenko
bn Chris Kaman
bn JJ Redick
bn Jordan Crawford

I wouldnt do it.. josh smith side loses BIG TIME.. you don't think u can make a run with that roster? I mean while Andy V is still at a high sell u should take advantage of that and find other options

if your looking for improved 3pt shooting look at Toronto's Terrance Ross.. he's been pretty on target lately.. that's the only reason I can see in trading Josh for Anderson and Matthews

I'd take the Anderson side easily, in a roto, Josh can kill your FT, plus you have Ibaka and others for the blocks.
Take it.

Offers are pouring in now. Since they all know my intent of opening up a keeper spot for next year by trading Smoove.
I also have
Eric Gordon/Danilo Galinari for.Josh Smith
Kenneth Faried/Danilo Galinari for Josh Smith
Not a fan of these two unless he throws in a pick.

With Andy V and Love both out for a while I would look to the future . I would trade Andy V to a team that needed a keeper for an early pick he is chronically hurt but tantalizes you with great numbers . Look at how many games he has missed the past three years , in 10-11 he missed 52 last year he missed 41 and this year he will miss over 40 . I wouldn't trade Jsmooth unless you can package him with several guys your not going to keep and get a real top 5 keeper i.e. KD , Bron , etc . How many teams in your league ?

Smoove has started to produce what everyone though he would. He's a top 10 fantasy player. R Anderson does provide you with 3s but in other stats his production isn't even close to Smoove's. (especially since he's coming of the bench now) Matthews is a good buy low right now because he's gonna get his 35+ minutes/game (Portland's bench sucks) but still not enough for Smoove.

I'd take Smoove on this one. I like Matthews game but with Anderson, I just can't see him playing huge minutes without an injury to both Davis and now Smith. Smoove is on a tear and is performing what people thought he would be doing. I'd pass both on matthew/anderson and gallo/gordon
