Hey everybody. First post... Here we go!
I was just offered this trade:
TRADE: Steve Nash and Eric Gordon
RECEIVE: Steph Curry and Manu Ginobli
Let me just say at immediate face value this trade seemed like a steal for me. But I'm a Class A overanalyzer so I'd like to know what you guys think.
I am in a Head2Head league, and the scoring categories are FG%, FT%, 3PTM, PTS, REB, AST, ST, BLK, and TO. The thing that stands out to me about this trade is not that it necessarily fulfills a need, but rather that it upgrades what I currently have. Curry, in my opinion, is far and away the best player in this deal from a fantasy perspective. I don't really need assists per se (Westbrook and Vasquez are two of my other guards) and more three pointers would be helpful, but not a must (I've got Klay Thompson and J.J. Redick generally holding that category down). I know Ginobli doesn't play as much as he once did, but I think he's a definite upgrade in the efficiency categories compared to Gordon which would be helpful considering Westbrook's tendency to miss shots at a high volume. Finally (and I'm sorry if I'm doing too much analyzing here) I don't really care a ton about turnovers considering I've got Westbrook and I've actually lost that category every week since the season started. I'm leaning toward making the trade. Opinions?
