Personally I'm surprised he didn't get plucked off the board quicker. Bad team means someone has to produce and you know that it's more than likely going to be Thad. Just imagine where he'd be ranked last season if his ft% hadn't dropped off.

Great pick!!!

TonyM is on the clock. Wake has missed his 24 hours. I am trying to get another manager to be at the ready to take over Wake's team if he does not return in a timely manner to make his next pick.

Wake has been in this league for quite some time and is a Vet. I expect it is just life taking over fantasy. Hopefully he makes it back.

TonyM has been generous enough to give Wake some more time. The exact amount he decides to give will be up to him.

I want to thank everyone for remaining active and also understanding during this draft process.

Per the rules, Barrec was supposed (and probably did) message.

Also per the rules, after 24 hrs and no selection, the next person in order picks.

I think that Tony is just letting Wake eat into some of his 24 hour draft time. It seems like everyone has been checking regularly. All we need is for Wake to make it back. Still lining up replacements just in case.

I did send him a message. Wasn't sure it went through so I sent him a second. I hope he got 'em! I'd hate to be the one holding it up.

I sent Wake a message too when I noticed he hadn't updated his final keeper. He's always been active so I'm more willing to give him a little leeway in these early stages. That being said, I'll be making my pick at around 6pm EST to give him a little extra time.

Thanks everyone for being patient.

With 26 picks till my next pick, I had a few factors I looked at before making my pick:

1. Position Scarcity - I think PG's and good PG's are one of the most limited positions this year... next to quality SG's. Also, with our league being a keeper, a lot of the quality PG's have already been taken off the board.
2. Potential - Lowry has shown flashes of Top 20 production and is going into the season with a bit of a chip on his shoulder.
3. Risk vs Reward - Somewhat an injury risk, I would have honestly preferred Calderon here, but with him being swiped earlier than expected, I like that I am basically drafting Lowry at his floor, so the rewards vs the injury risk looks pretty good to me.
4. Contract Status - It's a contract season for this kid!!! nough said.
