Am I right to say we can renounce to rookies options & buy out players with offseason rules whenever during the auctions, till the season starts end October?

Just a request... could we get the 2013/2014 team rosters thread stickied? Not the spreadsheet but where we actually type in our rosters in posts. It will probably get buried soon beneath the player actuon threads, and it's also nice to just have it up near the top throught the offseason/season.

All,

Quick procedural question: if 12 hours pass and there are still no bids on a player I assume the auction closes and they get dropped in the FA pool?

If someone later decides they want that player, can they renominate and open a thread now or does it have to wait until our "auction season" is done?

Thanks!

That's pretty much right. We might have made it 24hrs without a bid last year- don't remember. 12 is probably plenty though, as they can always be relisted later.

I think it makes sense to wait for people who don't get bid on until after. ;-D

As far as I remember anything happening takes 24H of no bids.

2013-2014 offseason transactions is the thread you're looking for.

Not a big fan of the new bird rights rule. Essentially, every FA is now a restricted FA since you have the ability to match if you hold their bird rights. Something to discuss next off-season. Also would like to discuss having the ability to cut a 2nd round pick in-season with no cap penalty.
