Surprised by the Drummond pick by Nykos considering it doesn't seem like he's punting FT%. I know BBM lists Drummond as 8th round value when considering all 9 categories, but that FT% is REALLY bad and the damage could only get worse as he gets more playing time this season.

I imagine massmonic must be yanking some hairs out because of that pick :-b

I took Griffin, but it's partly because I felt like I could take the hit who I had already and partly because I think Blake's improved FT shooting will continue. Small sample size, but his 80% FT shooting at over 4 FTA/g in the playoffs gives me hope of continued improvement into the high 60's or 70's range.

Yeah, Griffin's FT% has improved to the point where it's largely salvageable. You can still remain competitive in the category even if you draft him.

Obviously I wanted to add Drummond but really did not think he would make it back to me. (But I was hoping.) I really debated drafting him earlier but it just seemed too early at the 5-6 turn.

9.12 Phoenix Suns Training Staff ;-D

P.S. I like the Bogut pick, and he probably needs to gamble on Rondo at this point.

I don't know... Drummond produced 3rd round value in the last 3 months of last season and BBM projections (which are generous but not unreasonable IMO) have him as a first rounder if you ignore FT%. I think you need to be drafting Drummond if you're punting FT%, and taking him in the 5th-6th round isn't too early if you suspect he may not make it back to you.

There's always trading! :-D

If there's ANYONE in the NBA I'd trust to keep the tires fresh on those two, I'd be the Spurs training staff. :-D
