Doesn't take quite as much as you'd think... remember that this year's $12M comes off, so you "only" need $10.5MM open.

Moreover, let's say you have $20MM of expirings this year (not a crazy number on our rosters I think) that you don't care about RFA / FA status for. You could waive all $20MM of that for $15MM, which frees up another $5MM to use for buyouts. So you'd only need $5.5MM free (besides the Gordon and $20MM of expirings).

And that math is all with a 3yr escalating contract. If it was only a 2yr or was a declining contract, that much easier...

Buyouts are actually pretty powerful I think.
