Postby spud_webb_04 » Fri Apr 25, 2014 11:11 am

hi,
in a 9 cat dynasty roto i have the 6th pick in this years draft
i'm looking to move up to possibly the second or third pick
i would be giving up 6th + batum and possibly jennings too in that deal
what do you guys think ?

Not clear how many players are kept in your league but it seems doubtful that you'd be able to replace the value of Batum and your 6th pick by moving up 4 places.

It's a lot to give but if you're confident that you'll be able to replace Jennings & Batum on thw waiver wire it could be a good deal on the long run

Categorically no !

Batum is 25 yrs old and averaged 13 - 7.5 - 5 with 1.8 threes - .9 steals and .7 blocks . Where do you think your going to find that production ? Plus you giving up B. jennings and the 6 pick ? I can argue that the 3 pick and the 6 pick in this draft arent too far apart at all .

Let's look at this draft Parker , Wiggins go 1-2 in either order not relevant to our discution. Then who goes ?

Elfrid Payton , Exum , Embiid, Randle ( again order not important for our discussion) but at 6 you wind up with one of these players or Smart.

How can you give up Batum and Jennings just to move up 3 spots when you could arguable get just as good a player at 6 ? Makes no sense to me.

What waiver wire are you replacing Batum ? I'd say he's easily a top 40 player and is 25 yrs old .
